A Sense of Community: Through Film Lens
During a transformative trip to a Karen Village in Chiang Mai, I experienced a deep sense of community. Living with the villagers, I witnessed their simple lifestyle and heard their pandemic struggles. Capturing their daily life on a film camera, I was inspired to help. Back in Bangkok, I shared their story, leading to a donation initiative with my parents. The trip allowed me to connect with the community, and the images I took reflect their daily rituals and my emotional journey. From boiling eggs in hot springs to crafting utensils, the photos showcase their unique way of life and our shared moments of unity..
Unity in Friends and Family
The second series of images encapsulates my personal journey in Bangkok, representing my connections with friends, family, and the city itself. Each photo holds deep meaning, capturing moments and items that shape my identity. From cherished albums reflecting my love for music to symbols of growth and unity among friends, these images narrate my emotional experiences. They convey the joy of shared moments with friends during breakfast and the love within my family, illustrating my sense of self and the community that defines me.
Shutter Speed - Light Experimentation
I experimented using light as the main subject of our images. I tried creating light images using a long exposure and a slow shutter speed to capture the motion of light, to create images. I thought that this was an extremely cool technique that could be used to convey messages within images and as seen in the images, we were able to create many shapes/forms with the light, including the disney chanel logo.
Cyanotype
Cyanotype is a new and great method to produce an image using light sensitive chemical. It is an alternative to a camera that can create something that is authentic and original. By experimenting with cyanotype, I learnt how to create a different photograph.
